FAQ

Any time we enter into a new medical chapter of our lives, we can anticipate anxiety and insecurities. Please see the below answers to Frequently Asked Questions related to physical therapy and our outpatient practice, St Pete Physio

  • Do I need a prescription for physical therapy?
The state of Florida has direct access for physical therapy services for 30 days. At 30 days, a physician of record is required for continued PT treatments. Even though, St Pete Physio is a self-pay practice, we will abide by the above. You can have PT treatment for 30 days, after which we will seek a physician prescription for continued physical therapy care.
  • What can I expect? What should I wear?
Your physical therapist will assess and evaluate your physical strength, mobility, flexibility, and activity tolerance in multiple positions. Anticipate moving a lot! Wearing comfortable clothes with athletic shoes is preferred
  • Do you accept any medical insurances?
At this time, we unfortunately are not accepting any insurance. We are a self-pay practice. We accept: cash, credit, HSA and FSA credit cards, check, and Zelle.
